Devin Booker Will Want To Be 'Batman' On The Suns Over Kevin Durant And Bradley Beal Says Iman Shumpert

The Phoenix Suns have assembled a Big 3 after they traded for Bradley Beal, giving up a haul including Chris Paul to the Washington Wizards.

Big things will be expected from the team with all the talent at their disposal, they will have to ensure that all their stars get shots. Speaking about how they will mesh, Shumpert addressed who will be the main man between Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal.

"I think Bradley Beal's playing great basketball, KD's playing great basketball. I think you gotta figure out who's Batman," Shumpert said. "Don't you dare think Devin Booker don't think he not Batman. You can’t take egos personal. Kobe is his guy. Stop thinking he don’t think he’s Kobe, as far as this situation goes.

"Because Kobe would look dead at KD and be like, ‘You know I’m taking that last shot, right? I’m gonna take this last shot okay? think its good with Coach, I don’t care how young I am, I don’t care if my fro combed.'”

Devin Booker has blossomed into an MVP-caliber player with the Phoenix Suns and will turn 27 in October, fully entering his prime. He's been an All-Star three times already and even made the All-NBA First Team once. He was drafted by the Suns, which adds to the idea that it is his team.

Kevin Durant hasn't tried to assert himself in Phoenix, there seems to be mutual respect between him and Booker so far. Surely, the addition of Bradley Beal won't rock the boat too much, most of these players will only care about winning. It will be an interesting dynamic to watch, though.

Devin Booker And Kevin Durant Both Reportedly Recruited Bradley Beal

With three superstars, the Phoenix Suns' offense promises to be unstoppable. There are questions about the roster and how the team will come together around them, but the organization seemed clear on wanting to put them all together. There was reportedly some recruiting involved in the process.

"The Phoenix Suns aggressively went after Bradley Beal. From James Jones to Frank Vogel to Mat Ishbia to Josh Bartelstein their CEO and even some players -- I'm told even Kevin Durant and Devin Booker recruited Bradley Beal. There were conversations with both Beal and his wife Kamiah. This team is all-in on a championship.”

The media and former players at times like to overstate the impact of egos in a locker room. While they are certainly important, Booker, Durant, and Beal are all professionals and seem committed to working it out. If they focus on the goal, the Suns could be a shoo-in to be considered the NBA's best offense next season.
