Russell Westbrook Prays Every Night Before He Goes To Bed: "Pray That Good Things Happen For Me And My Family And My Teammates And My Coaches"
Russell Westbrook has come a long way since getting selected as the fourth overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2008 NBA Draft.
So far in his career, Russ has averaged 22.4 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 8.4 APG over 1094 games. Brodie also won the 2016-17 NBA MVP among other accolades. Westbrook is a firm believer in God, and that has been the case since his high school days. In a 2006 interview with Sports Corner, Westbrook revealed that he prays to god every night before going to bed.
"God's got me here so I pray every night before I go to bed," Westbrook said. "Pray that good things happen for me and my family, and my teammates and my coaches. Pray that everything go good and everybody to stay safe."

Westbrook played for Leuzinger High School. During his 2005-06 season, Westbrook averaged 25.1 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 2.3 APG, 3.1 SPG, and 0.6 BPG.
It's obvious that Brodie had the talent to become a star in the NBA one day. Up until the last few seasons ago, Brodie was one of the best point guards in the league, but age has seemingly caught up to him.
Where Will Russell Westbrook Play This Summer?
Russell Westbrook finished the second half of the 2022-23 NBA season while donning the jersey of the Los Angeles Clippers. Brodie averaged 15.8 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 7.6 APG over 21 games for the Clippers.
But there's a real doubt whether he will return to the roster for the next season or not. Sure, both teams want to finalize a deal as soon as possible. However, the Clippers won't be able to provide Russ with more than $2.5-$3 million with a minimum contract due to the new CBA.
He is currently an unrestricted free agent and there are a few teams that could use his abilities in the new season. Either way, Westbrook's next destination will be revealed within a couple of months.
