When Michael Jordan Took Over The Charlotte Hornets' Twitter Account For One Day: "Yes It's Really Me"

Michael Jordan and social media are two words that don't mesh well. The NBA legend used different ways to communicate with fans, especially the Hornet's Twitter account to announce big news or react to big events around the NBA.

However, there was a time he took over the team's official Twitter account, making some big comments and having a laugh with fans, team staffers, and even players.

It all started with Jordan announcing he would be running the account for that day, October 28, 2014. He cracked a little joke saying he was back before asking fans to join him in his day.

He showed how the day started for him, having a cup of coffee.

Jordan even revealed he didn't know where to sit for the Hornets' season opener the next day.

MJ revealed he was actually the person behind the tweets, sharing a selfie on social media.

He called out some players for being messy in the locker room.

After a long day of work, Jordan said goodbye with another selfie, this time with the team's mascot.

This was a funny moment between Jordan and the Hornets supporters. It's clear that he never felt comfortable dealing with social media, and doing this must have been hard for him, but totally worth it in the end.

Michael Jordan Is Leaving The Hornets After 13 Years As Team Owner

Jordan didn't have big happy moments during his time with the Hornets, and he's decided to sell the team for around $3 billion, finishing his 13-year run in Charlotte.

His Airness only made it to the playoffs twice as the team owner, never winning a single series. They had plenty of lottery picks over the years, but that never meant a good thing for the franchise.

He wanted to give it a final try with Victor Wembanyama but they missed out on the No. 1 overall pick by just one position. Now, there's nothing else to do for Jordan, who is stepping down and will try to find new ventures.
