Damian Lillard Only Wants To Be Traded To Miami Heat

Damian Lillard has requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers after several months full of rumors and speculations. The player was rumored to be getting tired of the situation in Portland, and after an offseason that didn't stand out for the team, the player has decided to cut ties with them.

After asking out of the Blazers, the two favorites to land Lillard are the Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets, two squads that were already mentioned in Lillard's sweepstakes. Moreover, Shams Charania adds that the player has demanded a move specifically to the Miami Heat.

"The Portland Trail Blazers have been informed that Damian Lillard wants a trade specifically to the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat, multiple sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."

Lillard has stated that he doesn't want to play for a superteam and will prefer to join a team that has a chance and not an easy way to the championship. Joining the Miami Heat, with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, would be great for him.

Last season, he had another incredible outing, averaging 32.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 58 games. This can be the missing piece for the Heat, who have already played in the NBA twice in the last three years.

The Heat Lost Two Important Backcourt Pieces In Free Agency

Miami didn't wake up with good news today after losing Gabe Vincent to the Los Angeles Lakers and Max Strus to the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency. These moves were painful for them, but now the Heat is getting new hopes of being even better than they were in the past two seasons.

They already re-signed Kevin Love on a two-year deal, and Pat Riley will have to find a way to make this trade happen and bring in one of the most exciting players in the NBA right now. At last, Lillard has requested a trade.
