It all unfolded against the Milwaukee Bucks when Wade rushing to the rim passed a no-looker to James who threw the ball down as the guard glided down with his arms outstretched in celebration.

Talking to NBA TV about the photograph, the three-time champion, who is hours away from being inducted into the 2023 Hall of Fame had a brilliant answer.

"You know I’d never seen the dunk, really? I looked away from the dunk… this was a typical fast-break dunk where I just had to figure out how to get him the ball. Whether I throw it in the air or bounce it, or whatever it is, I've always figured out a way to give him the ball because I heard him trucking.

"And so I took a quick peek, made sure it was him and not someone else, and I threw it. A bounce pass. The fundamentals of the game led to one of the most iconic moments."
