Rashad McCants Wonders What His Career Would Look Like If He Stayed With Khloe Kardashian: "Kanye, Where We Going To Lunch?”

Rashad McCants was selected as the 14th pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2005 NBA Draft. Instead of enjoying a successful career, he only managed to average 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. His NBA journey was cut short after just four seasons. However, it's worth noting that his brief romance with Khloe Kardashian may have had a significant impact on his career trajectory.

Talking to 2Cool2Blog on Instagram, the former player said his journey would have been very different had he stayed with the TV star:

"What if I had stayed with Khloe Kardashian? We'd be going to soccer practice today! TMZ would make sure to capture it all. 'Kanye West, where are we having lunch, bro? We're going to the same place. It's me!' I'd even be looking to feature on his album. Let me give you some context: If I had continued that relationship, I might have ended up on another NBA team."

In 2017, McCants expressed that his biggest regret was the highly publicized relationship with Khloe Kardashian late in his career, as he believed it gave people reason to doubt his commitment to the NBA.

During an interview with SLAM in that same year, McCants made it clear that he could have extended his NBA career if he had handled the situation differently.

"Without that situation in the mix, I would have been a player earning $60-70 million. Easily."

When Did Rashad McCants Date Khloe Kardashian?

Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian and the former Timberwolves first-round pick were in a relationship for nearly seven months from 2008 to 2009. Their introduction came through Reggie Bush, a former NFL player and Super Bowl champion, during the last year of his contract with the Timberwolves.

Kardashian ended the relationship in January 2009, and the former North Carolina guard failed to meet the expectations required to secure a new long-term contract with the Timberwolves or any other teams.

In 2018, during an interview with "The Herd," McCants revealed that his relationship with Kardashian drew a great deal of unwanted media attention:

"She's a high-profile celebrity, and I was with a small-market Minnesota team. So, once I started appearing in OK Magazine, People Magazine, and Media Takeout, I received unwarranted attention that created conflicts with teammates, coaches, and GMs who were part of my life at that time. This conflict affected my career."

Rashad McCants' NBA Career And Net Worth

Rashad McCants played four seasons for the Timberwolves and Kings, averaging 10.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 249 regular-season games. He later pursued his basketball career overseas, playing in countries like Lebanon, Venezuela, Brazil, and China, ultimately retiring in 2015 in the Dominican Republic basketball league.

As of today, his net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth, is $4 million. During his NBA career, he earned over $7.5 million. Unfortunately, injuries and personal issues posed challenges to his professional league career, and after a brief stint with the Sacramento Kings and a season with the Texas Legends development team, he pursued a relatively low-profile overseas career.
