NBA Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Interested In Kyle Lowry, Could Include Tyrese Maxey In Trade Package

Kyle Lowry has long been linked to the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of this trade season. Kyle Lowry is a multiple-time All-Star who is one of the best point guards in the league despite turning 35 years old in a few days. Lowry is an adept playmaker who can help the Philadelphia 76ers with his championship experience and veteran leadership.

There are a few factors that could potentially prevent a team from sending out a huge trade package for Lowry: the fact that he is on an expiring contract and the fact that he is on the tail end of his career. Those are risk factors that a team must consider.

However, it seems like the Philadelphia 76ers would be willing to part with at least one of their talented young players. It has recently been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers would be willing to include Tyrese Maxey in any deal for Kyle Lowry.

Tyrese Maxey could potentially be good on a team where he can develop. The Raptors are on a 9 game losing streak, and look like they could be headed for a rebuild. If they are indeed moving to rebuild, then it would make sense for them to move their veteran All-Star for a young rookie that they could develop. While Lowry is a great veteran, he simply doesn’t fit the rebuilding timeline for the Raptors. The Toronto Raptors could do their beloved legend a favor, and send him to a team where he can truly compete: the Philadelphia 76ers.
