Giannis Antetokounmpo: "If My Son Asked Me, ‘Dad, When Are You Going To Retire And Play More With Me?’ I’d Retire Right Now.”
As the reigning 2x MVP, 26-year-old Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the NBA's most dominant players, and clearly has a very bright future ahead of him.
But as he revealed in a chat with the media, he'd give it all up tomorrow per the request of his 1-year-old son, Liam.
“If my son asked me, ‘Dad, when are you going to retire and play more with me?’ I’d retire right now.”

It sounds almost crazy to think that Giannis would leave behind a career in the NBA like that -- but, honestly, it's not crazy at all.
For Giannis, family comes first, and he has made more than enough money to set his family up for life. In a world where nothing is guaranteed, there may be no greater reason to quit the NBA than to spend time with your family.
And for that, Antetokounmpo deserves some major respect.
Considering Liam is still just 1, it's unlikely he's going to be asking his father for anything anytime soon -- so, Bucks fans don't have to worry.
In the meantime, he will continue to try and bring home that elusive title, which has so far avoided the Greek Freak and his club. We'll see if that will change this postseason.
