Anthony Davis Sends A Message To His Haters: "I Don’t Need To Prove Anything To Anyone That's Outside Of This Lakers Organization.”

Anthony Davis sent a big message to his doubters, making it clear that he's focused on helping the Los Angeles Lakers and nothing else. The big man only played five minutes in Game 6 of the first-round series against the Phoenix Suns.
His groin injury messed with him again, preventing Davis from helping his team extend this series to a final 7th game. Much was made of this situation, with people slamming AD due to his injury history this season.
The Lakers missed him for a big chunk of the regular season and playoffs. Plenty of fans and analysts had something to say about this, but AD isn't paying much attention to that. After the series was over, the Brow said that he's only focused on helping the Lakers and nothing else (5:15).
“I don’t have to prove nothing to anyone,” Davis said. “I’m not going to prove anything to anyone. It doesn’t matter to me. The things that everybody are saying? It comes with the territory. When you're a player of my caliber, guys expect things from you and are going to say things about you. Whatever their reason is, it's my job to be on the floor. I know what I go through and what I play through and what my body goes through. The front office and coaching staff know. So I don’t need to prove anything to anyone that's outside of this Lakers organization.”
This offseason will allow Davis and LeBron James to heal their injuries. The Lakers suffered when these two weren't on the court. The team hopes to have their star duo back on the floor, ready to compete for the championship again.
