A former Laker goes, and a former Laker arrives for the Philadelphia 76ers. Following Dwight Howard's signing with the Californians, Andre Drummond goes to the city of brotherly love after spending last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The big man didn't have the best tenure with the purple and gold. Although he wanted to return to Staples Center, he's now headed to Philly to join Doc Rivers, Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the big man is signing a one-year deal with the Sixers, which is different from what he aspired to get this offseason.

This is a curious signing for everybody knowing the history between Drummond and Joel Embiid. The Cameroonian player isn't Drummond's biggest fan, which could create some issues for the team.

Still, Embiid and Dwight Howard got along last season, and this could happen again with Andre. He can help the Sixers with his rebounding ability and serve as a decent backup for Joel.

Time will tell if this move pays off for the Sixers. If it goes wrong, things will be fine after just one season.
