NBA Scout On What To Expect From LaMelo Ball Next Season: "He's Gotten Stronger, More Confident, And Has Worked Hard On His Ability To Create His Own Shot. I’m Expecting Him To Take A Big Second-Year Leap.”

LaMelo Ball is entering his sophomore season in the NBA. The young point guard had a terrific debut in the league last year, taking the competition by storm before a broken hand made him miss a chunk of the season.
Now the player will try to confirm he is the real deal and can lead the Charlotte Hornets to compete in a stacked Eastern Conference. This team made some interesting moves in the offseason, yet they're not seen as a playoff squad.
Still, Melo will try to give his best and surpass what they did last year when they reached the play-in tournament. The expectations are still high for Ball, and one NBA scout revealed that he's stronger now, ready to take his game to the next level.
“LaMelo (Ball) has gotten stronger, more confident, and has worked hard on his ability to create his own shot. I’m expecting him to take a big second-year leap. The Hornets are in good hands with Ball at the point.”
The youngest Ball brother entered the league surrounded by doubts, but he quickly shut them down. He won the 2021 Rookie of the Year award while leading his Hornets to the play-in tournament, showing flashes of what could be a terrific NBA career.
In his first season in the association, Melo averaged 15.7 PPG, 5.9 RPG and 6.1 APG, while shooting 43.6% from the field in 51 games in Charlotte. After this offseason, the player is set to improve those numbers and perhaps play in his first playoff.
