LeBron James is getting ready to show the world that neither he nor the Los Angeles Lakers are done, and they can be competitive again. Two years after winning their 17th NBA championship, the Purple and Gold find themselves in a complex position, struggling to be competitive, even failing to make the play-in tournament. 

Bron knows the pressure is huge now, especially with the Lakers running it back with Russell Westbrook on the roster. The superstar wants to send a message this upcoming season and has hit the gym to make sure he's in the best shape to help the Lakers compete again. 

Moreover, he's been spending time with his kids, doing his shows, and also seeing the fruits of his success and everything he means to the world of sports and the new generation of hoopers. 


LeBron James Shares Powerful Message On Instagram While Celebrating His Sanctuary

Earlier this week, the "LeBron James Innovation Center" at Nike's world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon was opened to athletes, marking another huge milestone in James' career. He couldn't help but show his excitement for this, making it clear it was hard for him to believe he had a whole building named after him

“Over the course of my career and my time here at Nike, for all of this to come together is surreal. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m definitely honored,” said James. “Having my name on the Innovation building feels very fitting because I’m always trying to figure out ways I can continue to innovate and continue to break the timeline of what they say is your prime.”

LeBron keeps celebrating but he's not losing focus on the job. He knows things will be very hard for the Lakers next season and keeps finding ways to motivate himself, his teammates and those who look up to him. Earlier today, he shared a powerful message on Instagram, a quote from former POTUS Theodore Roosevelt's book 'The Man In The Arena.'

"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. It's pretty clear that LeBron won't play around this upcoming season. He knows he's not getting any younger and his championship window is slowly closing. If the Lakers can win it all next year, it'll be hard to see them lifting the Larry O'Brien trophy again while LeBron is on the roster.
