Being an NBA superstar means that players have to deal with a lot of attention and success from a young age. The most promising players know that they are destined for greatness before they even get to the league, and having that translate to wealth and fame is a transition that is difficult for many to handle.

One of the most spoken-about aspects of NBA stars' personal lives is when any of them cheats on their girlfriends or wives. Shaquille O'Neal has admitted to doing it, Ime Udoka got suspended for a year because he couldn't help himself, and they are far from being the only stories of this nature. And now it seems a younger star could also be indulging in the same guilty pleasures, with Anthony Edwards getting called out by an Instagram model on Twitter.

Anthony Edwards: "I had to put on a show for my girlfriend."

Eze Ifeoma: "But was begging to fly me out."

It's not uncommon for NBA stars to fly models around or be involved with them, but if this call-out is for real, it's messy because Edwards is already in a relationship. Anthony Edwards' girlfriend is named Jeanine Robel, but he was trying to shoot his shot with Sophia Eze Nwanyi Ifeoma, better known as Sophia Da Stallion on Instagram. And fans had a lot to say about this.

NBA Fans Reacted To Anthony Edwards Being Called Out For Trying To Cheat On His Girlfriend

When Sophia made the post, she didn't include any screenshots or anything of the sort, so there's no evidence as such to hold Edwards accountable. That never stops fans though, so while some spoke up for Ant, others were quick to troll him.

"U could’ve been at the game but you on twitter."

"Not Anthony Edwards man, he seems so nice."

"Sound like you fumbled the bag to me."

"I just don't believe this."

"You 6’4 you should’ve been out there and dropped 40 with him."

"Admitting this is so corny to me why tell the world?"

"Anthony Edwards probably wanted to do drills with ya 6'4 a**."

"Listen, you can’t blame him."

"That boi Ant losing focus."

"He gotta be better than this."

"Nah, why is this even coming out man."

It's hard to tell if the situation will go any further, but the accusation is salacious enough to have led to quite a bit of online discussion. Ultimately, there's no way for any of us to tell what the truth of the matter is. NBA players are known to indulge in shenanigans of this sort, but they also make easy targets to spread rumors about. Which one this is will only become apparent in time.
