The NBA has been around for more than 75 years and in that time span, many amazing players have graced the league with their presence. But only a handful of players have managed to reach legendary status that will make fans remember them for years to come.

Even among those players, Michael Jordan is the ultimate GOAT for most. Jordan achieved this status by winning almost everything possible for a player in the league. On top of that, he did so by staying undefeated in the NBA Finals.

Evidently, many have wanted to know the reason behind Michael Jordan's success. Well, MJ himself once revealed that his greatest skill was his aggressiveness to keep learning and getting better.

What Made Michael Jordan The Best Player In The World?

Getting labeled as the GOAT of basketball is no small deal. Michael Jordan has managed to hold that label for several years now and he will continue to do so for many more years.

But what was the primary reason behind Jordan being considered the best player in the world? Tony Robbins, one of the top life coaches out there, shared Jordan's answer in an old interview.

"Michael Jordan. Remember I interviewed him years ago? And I said, 'What makes you the best in the world? Is it skill? Is it talent? Is it abilities? Is it background? Is it training?' And he was so awesome. He said, 'Tony I can tell you the truth and it won't sound like false modesty.' He said, 'I didn't even make the high school basketball team, sophomore year. I was cut.' He said, 'What it is is everyday I demand more from myself than anybody else could possibly expect. I don't compete with other people. I compete with what I'm capable of.'"

Demanding more from himself than anybody else could in the entire world helped Michael Jordan in becoming the best player in the world.

So all the upcoming athletes in the world who are trying to make it to the league, should take this advice and make a habit of doing so. Who knows, one day we may see a player surpass Jordan by using his own advice? Wouldn't that be something, right?
