NBA commissioner Adam Silver has been a popular name in the business world recently, with multiple reports suggesting that Silver has become a premier candidate to take on a leadership role for a number of major businesses and corporations not related to the NBA.

And while the potential earnings would almost certainly be maximized elsewhere for Silver, he reportedly has no plans to leave the league according to his latest conversation with ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

The report comes in a press conference from Silver following a meeting with the NBA's Board of Governors this week. Currently, the NBA is engaged in intense negotiations with the Players' Association over a new CBA and Adam is leading talks that seem to be going well so far.

"Silver says there were updates on collective bargaining discussions, which have a current deadline of this Friday, and Silver says he believes discussions will go right down to Friday night and will continue this evening," wrote Bontemps in a Twitter thread.

While some might criticize Silver for some of how he's handled some recent situations,  he's a pretty solid commissioner all things considered. Under his guidance, the NBA has implemented many changes (like the play-in tournament and All-Star game format) and continues to grow in viewership by the millions.

Silver also has plans in the future to add expansion teams and even a mid-season tournament to the schedule that will add a fresh new experience to the NBA calender.

Silver Reportedly In Contention For Next Disney CEO

Silver's leadership and interest in innovative technology have apparently put him on the board for various jobs, including the CEO of Disney according to Charles Gasparino of Fox Business News.

"Media execs say Disney has unofficial short list of internal/external candidates to replace @RobertIger includes NBA commish Adam Silver @KevinMayer $DIS Entertainment's Dana Walden. Silver suggests $DIS having second thoughts about ditching @espn 345pm @FoxBusiness"

The fact that Silver is being considered for such high-ranking positions really shows how much he's valued as the NBA's leader/commissioner.

For now, at least, it looks like he's staying with the NBA for a long time and that's good news to many fans who have liked how the league has handled their business over the years.
