Max Strus Called Out Jamal Murray For Pushing Jimmy Butler From The Back

The Denver Nuggets took Game 1 of the NBA Finals with a 104-93 win over the Miami Heat, looking very strong against the Heat, who didn't have a response for the Western Conference champions.

Jamal Murray once again showed up for his team, scoring 26 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing 10 assists. Not everything was good for the point guard, as he starred in a scary moment with Jimmy Butler during the game. Murray allegedly pushed Butler from the back and took him down, which didn't sit well with Max Strus.

The Miami Heat player was the first to assist Butler while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope did the same with Murray. Strus wasn't having any of that and immediately called out Murray.

"Hey, what? He pushed him over the back!" Strus yelled at the referees. "He doesn't want to miss multiple good games, you know?"

Strus couldn't believe what just happened and wanted everybody to know that Murray played dirty and tried to hurt Butler.

"He didn't go into the ball," he added."

Butler shared this feeling and stated that he was just asking for the ball. He was about to catch that pass but Murray had different plans. In the end, the Nuggets had the last laugh, winning the game and taking a Game 1 lead in the series.

Nikola Jokic was on a tear once again, and Murray wasn't left behind, as they showed the way against the dangerous Heat. The Nuggets won their first-ever NBA Finals game, and knowing how great they played, it'll be hard for the Heat to beat this team.

Max Strus Struggled To Make An Impact In Game 1

On the other end, the Heat's role players struggled to get things going, including Strus, who recorded zero points in 21 minutes of action. He grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists, but this is nothing compared to what he's shown during the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The Heat couldn't see Jimmy Butler playing at his best level either, as he only scored 13 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Miami needs to show a different face if they aspire to win Game 2. This is a duel between two inspired teams, and it seems like Denver is the one with the biggest inspiration.

We'll see how the rest of the series unfolds, but right now, it looks hard for the Heat to beat Murray, Jokic and co.
