James Harden Removes Philadelphia 76ers From His Bio Across Social Media Amid Trade Talks

James Harden's exit from the Philadelphia 76ers has felt sort of like a foregone conclusion for a few weeks. Since he requested the trade, all the speculation has been about when the deal gets done, but it seems Harden is in more of a hurry than anyone.

The Beard has made it apparent that he is no longer interested in staying with the Sixers, he wasn't even at Joel Embiid's wedding. And now, fans have noticed that he has taken everything related to the Sixers out of his bios on social media.

On both Twitter and Instagram, there is nothing in the bio except promotions for other avenues of business. It's hard to understand what this means, as it could just be a move from the 10-time All-Star to put pressure on the franchise, but it also might mean that a trade is close to being finalized.

Daryl Morey has made it clear that he will not accept a subpar package for James Harden's services. Considering that they have the reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who is in his prime, the Sixers want to stay contenders even if Harden is to move elsewhere. This has made it difficult for them to find the right trade for him, and it's hard to imagine that something like that would get done so soon.

James Harden's Relationship With Sixers President Daryl Morey Has Deteriorated

James Harden was supposed to be the ultimate wingman for Joel Embiid, but things haven't gone according to plan during his time in Philly. The man that brought him to the Sixers, former Rockets GM Daryl Morey, was expected to be the reason Harden extended his stay with the Sixers. But their relationship has gotten worse this offseason, with reports calling it 'fractured.'

"What I learned in Las Vegas was, the relationship between James Harden and Daryl Morey, the president of basketball operations in Philadelphia, is essentially severed, it’s essentially fractured throughout this process," Charania said. "There’s no longer that valve of open-ended trust that we’ve seen throughout 692 games that Daryl Morey and James Harden had been together in Houston and Philly."

If James Harden is truly alienating himself from the team so publicly, then that will only tank whatever value they can get for him. With his preferred destination being the Clippers, those chances were already quite low. It remains to be seen how the franchise will take a move like this from Harden.
