One of the biggest stories of the draft was Kysre Gondrezick of West Virginia, who was selected as the No. 4 overall pick last Thursday.
She already made headlines with her reaction to getting drafted by the Indiana Fever. While watching the draft at home, she heard her and absolutely lost it, as well as her mother. It was an incredible moment for the girl, who is one of the most exciting prospects in this draft class.

The guard can hoop, no doubt about it, and fans took notice of that. If you add her beauty to the fact that she can drop whichever points on you, that’s the recipe to conquer a lot of hearts around the internet. Now it’s time to face a bigger challenge with Indiana and it seems like Kysre is already bringing more fans to watch the Fever’s games.

Gondrezick has a big background, with her family playing competitive sports at some level. She has the genes to be where she is right now and everybody is excited to see what she’s going to do now. Via Wish TV:
Gondrezick was the 2017 Michigan Miss Basketball and Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year while playing for Benton Harbor High School with her mom, Lisa Harvey-Gondrezick, as an assistant under head coach Lisa Harvey. She graduated as the No. 2 scorer in Michigan girls hoops history with 2,827 points.
Her father, Grant Gondrezick, played at Pepperdine and for the NBA’s Suns and Clippers; he died in 2017. Her mom won a national title playing at Louisiana Tech. Kysre’s sister, Kalabrya, played at Michigan State.
She has the talent, the charisma, and the desire to thrive in the league. We wish her a very successful tenure in the WNBA. The future is bright for her and her new franchise and fans can’t wait to see what she’s bringing now.
