Draymond Green Admits He Was Upset With Dwyane Wade During Summer Olympics: "To See Your Tweet After All The S— France Was Talking, And You Say Good Luck To Rudy Gobert, I Ain’t Like That S—."

The basketball Olympics are always an intense time for players.

Considering the long history of successes for Team USA, going to battle often comes with a lot of pressure for the guys competing. This year, in particular, things got especially tense when the team dropped two exhibition matches early on, raising questions and criticism from all around the globe.

At some point during the middle of it all, during the height of competition, Dwyane Wade took to Twitter to wish good luck to Rudy Gobert, who was competing for France.

It was a moment that did not generate much attention at the time, but Draymond Green recently admitted he wasn't a fan of it during an appearance on Carmelo Anthony’s What’s In Your Glass? podcast:

“I bumped into D-Wade a couple weeks ago, and so I’m sharing this with you,” said Green. “Obviously, I know that’s your brother, but also because me and him talked about it. I said, ‘Yo, I gotta tell you. You was one of the people on my go-at list after we won, and I’m gonna tell you why. When we was over there, it felt like us literally against the world, including America. To see your tweet after all the s— France was talking, and you say good luck to Rudy Gobert, I ain’t like that s—. Then I screenshotted it, and I was gonna go at you.

But out of my respect for you, I couldn’t go at you,” Green continued. “But I said if I saw you, I was gonna tell you.’”

Draymond Green is one of the fiercest competitors in the league, so it's no surprise that he had a problem with Wade being so friendly to the competition, especially during such a high-pressure time.

In the end, though, everything worked out just fine. Team USA ended up with the Gold and Green got to tell Wade in person how he felt.

One can only imagine how different things might be now had a different team captured the Gold this summer.
