Naz Reid has offered some sort of an explanation for the Minnesota Timberwolves tumultuous 2022-23 NBA season. The big man has been with the team since 2019 and has seen the ups and downs of the T-Wolves, although right now things are really down for them.

After landing Rudy Gobert via trade, many people within the franchise thought they would be good enough to win a championship, but so far, they have struggled to get things going. At the start of the season, Anthony Edwards voiced his frustrations with the team's struggles, and nothing has changed for them since that moment.

Following a terrible loss against the 10-29 Detroit Pistons, the Timberwolves dropped to 16-21, ranking 11th in the Western Conference standings. This was a painful defeat and questions keep coming about this team and the future of the season.

Naz Reid Offers Cryptic Response To Team's Current Issues

Naz Reid was asked about these issues, and the 23-year-old big man didn't give a clear answer, rather saying that the players know what the real issue is, but he won't speak about it with the media.

Via The Athletic:

When MinnPost’s Britt Robson asked Naz Reid after the game if it was a mystery to the players why this team is underachieving, Reid offered up an ominously cryptic answer.

“Not really. We know. We know. We know why,” he said after a players-only meeting. “And you know, I’m gonna kind of keep that in house. But we know why. That’s why I said before, I feel like we can change this. We know we can change it. So we just got to buy into the things that we know.”

It's unclear what's going on in Minnesota and Reid didn't offer any details about it. Some say the fact that Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns share a lot of time on the court might be hurting the T-Wolves' chances to thrive this season. Last campaign, they had something good going on, but after the blockbuster trade for the Frenchman, things have gone wrong.

It seems like it will be a bust for the Timberwolves this season when they thought it would be a championship season.
